The Peel Project, in collaboration with CK Foods, is proud to announce the launch of Hull’s first Muslim-led, year-round food bank programme, aimed at addressing food insecurity in the city’s most vulnerable communities.

This landmark initiative, based in the heart of Hull’s Central Ward—one of the city’s most ethnically diverse and deprived areas—is a response to the growing need for culturally and religiously appropriate food provision. For the first time, families in Hull will have access to halal food parcels and other essentials tailored to the needs of the city’s BAME and Muslim communities.

- Fortnightly events to support vulnerable families, refugees, and asylum seekers.
- Culturally sensitive food items, ensuring inclusivity for Hull’s diverse communities.
- Collaboration with local partners, including Hull City Council and Hull Food Partnership, to ensure the initiative is sustainable and impactful.

CK Foods, a leading ethnic wholesale grocer and halal supplier, has partnered with The Peel Project to supply and distribute the food items. Haris & Co has generously provided logistical support.
